Famous People to Whom I Have Been A Bother
Going through old photos to post on this page, I was reminded of the frequent convergence of a job on the radio and the cult of celebrity. Publicists of people who are well known book clients on radio shows to sustain their images as people who are well known. Most often they appear in their own self-interest to hype some show or project or charity event, and the transaction inevitably involves being required to have their photos taken with an interviewer they have never met prior and will never encounter again. Most all radio folk directly or peripherally involved in such appearances have collections of images of ourselves standing beside people more famous than we are. It is fun to possess evidence that we have momentarily inhabited the same space as many talented and accomplished people who have in some way enriched our own lives as entertainers or athletes or cultural influencers of one sort or another. Here is a gallery of famous people who could not recollect my name for a billion dollars.
