Lynn U could debatably decide the election

Dave visits the Lynn campus to plan Debate broadcast all day Oct 22.

A job for a Veteran Newsman

I was glad to be able to introduce speakers at a job fair for South Florida veterans called Hear Their Voices—Hire a Hero.  35 big S FL employers needful of workers were introduced to more than 400 unemployed veterans looking to transition into the civilian workforce.

Meet the Steins

Oktoberfest is heading this way again and the American-German Club in Lantana does it best. It’s the weekends of Oct. 12, 13, 14 and 19, 20, 21. Lantana Road in Lake Worth. Click below to check it out. If the full-screen image is not high def, click on the YouTube logo and change the setting below the player to 720p. More German beer varieties this year.

Ephemera (My Radio Stuff)

I don’t throw anything away. So when I decided to cull the closet clutter I elected to preserve photographic evidence of radio station artifacts collected from my various station stops across the years. T-shirts, jackets, hats and coffee mugs. Click on the photo to blow it up. And I also posted a music video of the collection on Facebook that you can see if you click HERE.

NASA Holds Orion-tation Day for Press

I wasn’t able to drive up to Kennedy Space Center this morning for the arrival of the first Orion capsule that will actually travel into orbit. So I will display a photo of me with the prototype flown as a test which was on display when Anita and I were at the last launch of the shuttle Atlantis.

For what it’s Worth

Dawn finds it difficult to get over me in Sunday’s episode of Mary Worth.

The Oddest Thing Happened

Al Jazeera news decided to send its Miami correspondent to the station to cover the reaction of conservative talk radio to the Supreme Court decision on the Obama health care bill. Why? You’ll have to ask the assignment editor in Doha, Qatar. And no, Al Jazeera was not the shortstop for the 1947 Dodgers.

Reading Rubio

Dave chats with Marco Rubio about his new book. I regret that he sounds at times as though he is speaking from the Death Star.

Father’s Day Tie

Anita got me a tie for Father’s Day. And it’s just what I wanted. Wouldn’t you?
