Dave McBride head shotSome evidence of my background and abilities.

I am an award-winning writer of creative broadcast and web content. I have enjoyed a long and successful career in news storytelling, translating sometimes complex concepts into plain language for a general audience. An anthology of my daily radio essays was once nominated for a Grammy in the category of Spoken Word.

Below is a recent feature video piece.

A snippet from my recent role as emcee for YMCA breakfast fundraiser at the Boca Raton Resort and Club featuring guests Regis Philbin and David Cassidy.

My CV includes more than 38 years as a popular broadcast news personality, 21 of those years at top-rated stations in Chicago. I migrated to South Florida ten years ago for a quality of winter-life upgrade.  I have been a manager of news staff for thirty years. In Chicago I became news director of NBC-owned and operated WKQX. Subsequent to that I also managed news staff at CBS Chicago WCKG. In Florida I have been director of programming at NewsRadio 1620 in Pensacola and Big Talk 850 WFTL located in Pompano Beach with a signal covering all of South Florida.

Here’s an Op-Ed I wrote for the Palm Beach Post following a foul-up at the Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections office. And a column from when I was a periodic invited contributor to the Chicago Sun-Times.
